This photo is my favorite! My Father and I used to hike here when I was a child. He’s since passed and I’m getting old! But this picture brings back the emotion and senses of being with him, sharing a love of this land, that will never die!
While it’s nearly impossible to choose from among these awe-inspiring photos, this is my FAVORITE. I grew up in Novato in the 1960’s and spent my youth hiking and riding my horse in the Marin hills, going to the beach, as well as sleeping out over night at both. This photo captures those memories and reminds me of how lucky I am to still enjoy this beauty and peace — as such, this photo tugs at my heart and soul. Thank you for all you do to capture our beautiful and majestic home, Marty. Greatly appreciated!
Marty,
While all the photos from this collection are amazing, and some are very dramatic… I love the subtle texture and rolling patterns in this photo. Also, having moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, I yearn for home. The west part of Marin and Sonoma counties, and the summer ‘brown’ of the mountains. I miss this area and this photo captures that yearning and has an emotional appeal to me, this is “my favorite” photo. I have a photo of you in Death Valley around 2014, I’ll have to send over….
All the best,
Cliff Kingston

This is one of my favorite photos. I can’t get enough of the light edging the undulating hills. Beautiful.
