Join Marty on a full moon photo workshop. We'll start at his studio, where Marty will demonstrate the techniques and methods he has used to create his full moon photographs. Using astronomical data predictions & mapping software from the internet, we'll select the optimum time and location for the evening's moonrise photo shoot. We'll go to a nearby location to put into practice the techniques reviewed during the studio presentation. Some events include an optional, no-host group dinner at a local cafe. Friends and family are welcome to join us at these dinners.
Topics covered include:
How to use astronomical data and maps to plan your photo shoot.
Using a compass to pre-position your tripod and camera for moonrise.
Adjusting your compass for magnetic north variations.
Determining the optimum exposure for your photograph.
Resources: Internet links to astronomical information and mapping applications.
Essential Equipment:
Film or digital camera with manual over-ride capability
A tripod and cable (remote) release (or self-timer function on camera)
A compass (not essential, but bring one if you have one.)

Please note, a disounted rate is available for prior participants of Marty's workshops. If this is your first workshop, kindly register at the full rate in the "New Students" option pop-up. Cancellation Policies:
1. If WE cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive your choice of either a full workshop fee refund or a credit for future workshop or merchandise at Marty Knapp's gallery. Marty Knapp will not be responsible for any other expense you may have associated with the workshop
2. If YOU cancel your attendance at our workshop 7 or more days before the scheduled event, you will receive your choice of a credit toward a future workshop or merchandise at Marty Knapp's gallery. If you cancel fewer than 7 days from the event you will forfeit your full workshop fee.
